U.S. International Trade Commission Conducts Public Hearing Regarding North American Foreign Trade Zone Practices

 On May 17, 2022, the U.S International Trade Commission (“USITC”) convened a public fact-finding hearing, looking into the effects of Foreign Trade Zones and similar programs in Canada and Mexico on operators.

Director of Public Finance and Compliance,
Greg Hahn

Greg Hahn serves as the Director of Public Finance and Compliance for The Port and its managed entities, including the Greater Cincinnati Foreign Trade Zone, the federal grantee of Zones 46 & 47 in Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky. He executes this work under a management contract the grantee has with The Port. As Director of Public Finance and Compliance, Greg works on contracts and compliance for FTZ Operators in the region.

As an economic development program, a Foreign Trade Zone uniquely helps regional businesses compete in a global marketplace by expediting trade and encouraging business in the U.S. that might otherwise be conducted abroad. The Foreign-Trade Zones of Greater Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky are a resource available to all regional qualifying companies that can gain real benefits from the cost savings and efficiencies provided by an FTZ.
